Cars crash into same New Jersey home two weekends in a row

A New Jersey house has been hit by cars two weekends in a row — starting just hours after its new first-time owners bought it, according to authorities and an online fundraiser.

The first incident occurred on Jan. 15 when a car lost control, went right through the Ocean Township home and ended up in Deal Lake, the Wanamassa Fire Company said.

But then on Sunday, the same crews returned to the still-damaged house after another car crashed into the same property, this time remaining inside.

“This may look familiar, as yes, this is the same exact home that was struck about a week ago,” the fire department said on Facebook.

There were no injuries in the latest crash because the house is currently unoccupied, the department said.

This is the first car that crashed into the New Jersey home.

In fact, the owners still have not had the chance to move in — because they had only closed on it the day before the first early-hours crash, according to an online fundraiser that has already collected more than $21,000.

“Friends of ours recently closed on their first house. 10 hours after closing, a random driver plowed through the front door and out the side of the house,” explained the fundraiser for Tim Husar.

“Tim and Jenn had to move out of their previous house with plans to move into their new home,” it said after the first crash.

Luckily nobody was in the home during both car crashes.

In an update Sunday, it added, “Like lightning striking twice in the same spot, somehow another driver hit the house this morning … Please help if you can!”
