Heather Rae Young did not invite her “Selling Sunset” co-star Christine Quinn to her wedding to Tarek El Moussa because of trust issues.
“She did not get an invite to the wedding,” Young, 34, exclusively told Leak Herald. “I am big on loyalty, I’m big on friendships and trust, and I do not trust her. I don’t think she’s a loyal person.”
The real estate agent, who is colleagues with Quinn, 31, at the Oppenheim Group, said she will “work with her professionally” but has “no interest in the friendship” outside of work.
Young and her now-husband, El Moussa, have had issues with Quinn in the past because the “How to Be a Boss Bitch” author jokingly dubbed them “Speidi” after Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag of MTV’s “The Hills.”
On Season 4 of “Selling Sunset,” which premiered Wednesday on Netflix, another feud was ignited when Young stormed out of a party after Quinn brought up in a few episodes that they both dated the same guy once.
“Christine decided to share my personal business, which has nothing to do with her and me,” Young told us. “I think it’s disrespectful to do to someone and uncalled for, and, like I said, it’s so irrelevant in my life.”
She added, “At the time I was getting married, so I just think she did something very disrespectful.”
Young said she tried to remain “neutral” as Quinn sparred with other “Selling Sunset” co-stars like Mary Fitzgerald and Chrishell Stause because she is “not one to just cut someone out of my life.”
However, the newlywed said she felt it was “just one thing after another” with Quinn, and so she was “just sick of it.”
“I had to kind of cut her out because at some point all this negativity and toxicity, it’s just not healthy,” Young said. “So I’m in the most amazing place in my life that I’ve ever been, and I only want people that are going to be positive and uplifting and support me.”
Despite bashing her co-star, Young did have one nice thing to say about Quinn: “She’s great on TV.”
“I think she has a big personality and I — like I’ve said it to her before — she is funny, she’s witty, she’s an intelligent woman and she’s great on camera,” she said. “But when you hit below the belt, the people that are your friends, that’s when I can’t agree with that anymore.”
Quinn, however, was not the only person in Young’s life that didn’t get an invitation to the October nuptials. El Moussa’s ex-wife and “Flip or Flip” co-star, Christina Haack, also did not get a save-the-date.
“No exes at the wedding,” Young said before clarifying that the blended family does have a great co-parenting relationship. “The most important thing in all of our lives is the children and their happiness and their well-being.
“We’re not going to dinners. We’re not having, like, girl time, but we are always in communication about the kids,” she added. “You have to put everything aside for the children.”
El Moussa, 40, and Haack, 38, share an 11-year-old daughter, Taylor, and a 6-year-old son, Brayden.
Haack, for her part, has also moved on. After her divorces from El Moussa and Ant Anstead, she confirmed in September she got engaged to a realtor named Joshua Hall.
“I’m actually friends with his sister,” Young told us of Hall. “We’ve been friends for, gosh, probably about 11 years. And yeah, we’ve met at soccer games and we’re all around each other.”
