NYC woman gets sexually assaulted, robbed by stranger while walking home

A stranger sexually assaulted and robbed a 28-year-old woman walking home in Manhattan over the weekend, police said.

The male suspect crept up from behind the victim, covering her mouth before forcibly touching her near the corner of East 40th Street and First Avenue in Murray Hill at about 5:40 p.m. Saturday, according to the NYPD.

The creep then stole the woman’s cell phone and fled westbound on East 40th Street, cops said.

Police were still searching for the suspect late Tuesday.
