RFK Bridge suspect allegedly told driver to ‘ram the cars!’

The teen passenger in a stolen car that fled cops on the RFK Bridge this week directed the driver to “Ram the cars!” — leading to a state trooper getting knocked over, according to new court papers.

The fresh details were lodged in a criminal complaint charging the driver, Josue Viorato, 21, with a slew of counts — including second-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and fleeing police — in the Sunday afternoon ordeal.

Viorato was ordered held on $50,000 bail at his arraignment late Tuesday, prosecutors said.

The complaint says troopers were responding to a disabled vehicle on the busy span when the owner of the stolen gray Acura sedan, who had been tracking his car, alerted police that his vehicle was at the entrance of the bridge, trapped in traffic.

One of the troopers approached the car and tapped on the driver’s side window, when a 17-year-old passenger in the car suddenly yelled, “Ram the cars!” the complaint said.

The Acura “then reversed slightly, and then accelerated forwarded [sic], colliding with the car in front of it,” the complaint said. “The Acura sedan then swerved to the right, colliding with a least three additional vehicles that were stopped in traffic.”

One of the cars the Acura crashed into struck another trooper in the leg, sending him flying on the car’s roof, the court documents say. He suffered “a contusion to the chest, sprain to the ankle, as well as substantial pain,” according to the complaint.

Video of the incident shows the troopers opening fire on the Acura, as Viorato and his teen pal allegedly peel off “at a high rate of speed,” the document says.

Police said several pedestrians were forced to jump out of the way as Viorato sped off the bridge with two flat tires and smoke coming out of the car.

He allegedly dumped the Acura at West 140th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard and fled on foot but was caught and taken into custody.

Prosecutors did not respond to a request about charges against Viorato’s alleged 17-year-old accomplice.

Viorato is being held on bail on Rikers Island and is due back in court Thursday.

Records reviewed by The Post show that Viorato had been busted on another stolen car charge less than a month earlier but was released without bail.
